The family of Melissa Bergman is proud to announce the formation of Melissa’s Legacy Foundation.  Our mission is to give hope and provide support for pediatric brain cancer patients and their families, animal rescues, and other charitable organizations that align with Melissa Bergman's values and passions.

Melissa Bergman was a pediatric cancer survivor, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend.  Melissa defied all odds after having been diagnosed with Medulloblasoma at the age of 8, which at the time had a 5% survival rate.  She lived an independent life for many years before beginning to experience health issues stemming from her treatments. Melissa faced many challenges throughout her life, but she walked an inspirational path and never wavered in her strength, bravery, tenacity, or fierce loyalty.  She lived her life with dignity and grace, ultimately succumbing to her illness on July 26, 2022. 

Melissa spent her life giving back to pediatric cancer patients and their families. To honor her and the impact she had on all who knew her, we are inspired to carry on her legacy by advocating for those impacted by pediatric cancer and traumatic brain injury and giving back to the organizations that meant the most to her.
